OK, Here I Go

So, I am finally taking the plunge. . . starting a blog.
I am sure that at first, nobody will read this, but I think this is going to be mostly for me. Sometimes I just need to vent - you know?
Well, what should I tell you about me? If you hadn't figured out from the title, I am a 42 year old (soon to be 43) Mom who is working. I have one child, who is 2, and one husband (which is sometimes one too many). I work full time as an accounting manager, which would have totally shocked me if I had been told this when I graduated college the first time. I graduated from a small liberal art college back in the '80s (yea, I am an 80's kind of gal) and had sworn at the time that I would not ever work in an office all day long - HOW BORING! Ummm, yea, right. In any case I came to find that I love working with numbers (real ones, not the imaginary ones that mathematicians theorize), went back to school, got my accounting degree, passed the CPA exam on the first try (thank you very much), and moved my way up at work to the current job. I got my current job through a quasi-promotion 2 months after my son was born. So, it has been a whirl-wind couple of years. But, despite the long hours, and very little sleep, I think I have enjoyed most of it.
Well, enough of that - I think I better round up the tot, and get helping with dinner.
